20 minute R2D2 Dress Up Costumes

Star Wars Girls Costumes:

These were fast and easy -- they were both done in under a half hour, ironing time included!
We'll be bringing these to the Star Wars Weekends at Disney World this year for sure :)

Here's how we did it:

For each R2D2  you'll need:
  • 1 white tshirt
  • 1 or more sheets of printable transfer paper (the 5T used one sheet, the adult small used 3)
  • 1 roll of tulle in sparkly white
  • 1 roll of tulle in blue
  •  1" elastic, cut to the desired waist measurement + 2"
  • Scissors

Shirts:
I hesitate to call this a craft at all, it was so easy! I spotted these R2D2 printables awhile ago and have been waiting for an excuse to use them. You can find the printables free on the Serial Mom site -- I used it as is for the little version (and accidentally used it upside down) and made it larger for the bigger size.
Print and iron on following the manufacturer's directions for the transfer sheets you're using. Done!

Tutus:
You can find directions for making tutus here -- I did a tutorial last year. For the R2D2 tutus I went with a longer length and these will be worn over white shorts (not shown here, it was COLD outside!)

Top the shirt with the tutu, and be prepared for happy little girls!
